Application of own plasma
You may also come across the names plasmatherapy, plasmalifting, PRP therapy or even "dracula therapy". We inject your own plasma into the skin. It is considered to be one of the most precious fluids in the human body, the "elixir of youth".
It represents the liquid component of the blood, in which various blood elements are located. Plasma is rich in platelets, contains high concentrations of the body's own nutrients, namely growth factors, proteins, vitamins. It stimulates the processes of regeneration, healing, tissue repair and increases oxygenation.
In addition to treating hair loss, it is also used for skin rejuvenation and in other branches of medicine such as orthopedics and dentistry.
How do you get it and how does the treatment work?
After your blood has been collected, the tubes are put into a special centrifuge for processing, where the plasma is separated from the red blood cells. The plasma obtained is injected directly to the hair follicles using a small thin needle, where it stimulates regenerative processes, increases tissue oxygenation and takes care of the hair cuticle's improved metabolism.
How should I prepare for the treatment?
About 24 hours before the treatment, it would be best to avoid eating fatty foods and drinking alcohol. Before the actual treatment, it is necessary to drink a larger amount of fluids to ensure a smooth blood draw for plasma production.
Is it necessary to repeat the treatment?
The treatment should be repeated at regular intervals every 3 to 5 weeks. This depends on the home treatment set up and further outpatient care. As a prevention against hair loss, treatment can also be done sporadically, but we recommend at least 3 sessions at the above interval, which may be followed by a longer break.
Can I experience side effects?
As it is the body's own material, the risk of allergies and other side effects is minimal. Similar to hair mesotherapy, side effects of this method include redness and possible mild pain in the area of the injections. These symptoms usually disappear within 24 hours of the procedure.
Effects and ideal combination with mesotherapy
The combination of plasma therapy and hair mesotherapy is suitable as these methods complement each other. While hair mesotherapy contains a valuable complex of nutrients and vitamins that may be lacking in the treated area, the body's own plasma contains the body's own nutrients. By applying plasma to the desired area, we can deliver these substances to the hair follicles in increased quantities and ensure improved scalp metabolism.
