How does the Dermapen treatment work?
Dermapen contains disposable microneedle attachments with an automatic vibration system. These special microneedles gently and at high speed pierce the skin vertically to a depth of a quarter to two millimetres. The frequency and depth of the puncture is adjustable according to the area to be treated (25 times per second to 90 times per second). The skin's own defense mechanism flushes out growth factors that stimulate skin cells to produce collagen. At the same time, new skin cells are formed. The new mass fills the channels created by the needles and its total volume thus increases. Thanks to collagen, the skin is firmer and significantly more elastic.
Thanks to its original features and adjustable injection depth, Dermapen can also be used on sensitive areas such as the eye area, lips, nose and also the whole body. The disposable attachments also ensure maximum sterility and prevent the transmission of infections.
How long will the skin heal?
The regeneration process takes four weeks, but the first results will be visible after the first treatment. After the treatment, your skin will be red for 12 to 48 hours. We recommend repeating the treatment after 3 to 4 weeks. If you are expecting further injectable fillers, it is advisable to have the Dermapen treatment 1 to 2 days before the injectable filler.
How to take care of the skin after Dermapen treatment?
Appropriate aftercare will be recommended by your doctor. The skin must be moisturised at all times, you must not have a feeling of dry skin. It is possible to apply serums containing hyaluronic acid or vitamins to the face. Of course, UV protection must be provided to avoid complications in the form of pigmentary changes. On the second day after the treatment, you can already apply breathable make-up.
