Hyaluronic acid is a natural part of our body. It has an extraordinary ability to bind large amounts of water, but as we age, the amount decreases, causing loss of skin elasticity and firmness, wrinkles, loss of tissue volume, and circles under the eyes. Haluronic acid fillers are most often sought after not only by women, but also by men from the age of 35, when minor skin imperfections are more visible. However, the procedure is not limited by age and is often undergone by younger age groups, especially to smooth acne scars, remove a small hump on the nose or a protruding chin, or to shape the lips.
In which locations can we use hyaluronic acid?
Hyaluronic acid fillers are a great solution for smoothing and filling wrinkles on the entire face, accentuating facial contours, lifting sagging corners of the mouth, smoothing nasolabial folds, rejuvenating the décolletage and neck, sculpting and augmenting the lips, as well as rejuvenating the hands.
How is the hyaluronic acid filler performed?
At Dermarevolt, we always recommend that our clients first have a consultation with a doctor who will focus on your facial features and skin condition and then suggest the product to be applied for the best possible effect. The consultation is also a great opportunity to get answers to any questions you may have.
The application of hyaluronic acid itself is a relatively painless procedure. The treated area is numbed locally with an anaesthetic cream, which is left on long enough to make the treatment as comfortable as possible for you. The skin is thoroughly cleaned and disinfected and then the filler itself is applied with very fine needles.
We recommend repeating the procedure after approximately 3 - 12 months, depending on individual absorption.
The first hours after filling are important
Since hyaluronic acid filling is a non-invasive procedure, the recovery itself does not take long, however, for the first 2 hours or so we do not recommend bending over and excessive physical activity should be avoided. The doctor will instruct you thoroughly after the procedure and will recommend cosmetics to reduce post-application symptoms. In extreme cases, minor bruising may develop which will fade within a few hours.
